The Client
National Federation of the Blind is the largest and most influential membership organization of blind people in the United States. The NFB improves blind people's lives through advocacy, education, research, technology, and programs encouraging independence and self-confidence.
The Need
The client is a large organization of blind people that also runs Federation of the Blind Jernigan Institute, the first research and training center in the United States for the blind led by the blind. The client was in need of a web solution that enabled them to manage their content, members, communications and events.
The client also had a large collection of data in form of reports and lectures that had to be managed effectively. Being a non-profit organization, a large chunk of fund is received from the ordinary people in form of gifts and donations. Hence, it was imperative to have an online donation form.
Also, as the client was a non-profit organization, the cost of the project had to be modest.
